Non-Executive Chairman
Gary Lamb is a qualified accountant (CIMA) who has gained extensive business experience over the past 35 years in numerous senior roles. Gary is currently Chief Executive Officer of Manx Telecom Ltd. Gary led Manx Telecom through a successful initial public offering on AIM in 2014. Prior to joining Manx Telecom, Gary was a founder director of Bladon Jets Limited, and a Non-Executive Director until July 2017. For 11 years, prior to Bladon Jets, Gary was the Finance & IT Director of Strix Limited, leaving in 2007. Gary was a key member of a successful team that delivered impressive growth and played a leading role in two leveraged management buy-out sales to private equity houses.

Chief Executive Officer

Mark joined Strix in 2006. He leads the organisation, setting the strategic direction and policy and works closely with his leadership team to translate Strix’s strategy into tangible results.

His experience includes various positions ranging from Engineering Director through to Managing Director for multinationals in Europe and the Americas, with his most recent positions being Managing Director of a company within the Ametek Inc. Group and latterly ABS Waste Water Limited.

Non-Executive Director

Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and has extensive corporate experience gained over the last 30 years having held numerous senior roles in public and private companies.

Mark’s initial career was in corporate finance, predominantly spent at UBS Limited. He has been CFO of numerous public companies and latterly was CEO of Delin Property, a pan-European logistics developer, investor and manager. He is currently an Executive Director of Kelso Group Holdings Plc, a Non-Executive Director of AEW UK REIT Plc and advisor to DP World. 

Non-Executive Director

Richard previously served as Chairman of AMDEA, the Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances, and was on the board of London listed Alba Plc. Additionally, he has worked with a number of entrepreneur-led private companies and served as a deal advisor for a large private equity firm. 

Richard is an experienced company director and advisor with over 30 years’ experience working across multinational corporations, public companies, entrepreneur-led SME enterprises, and private-equity backed businesses.

Chief Financial Officer

Clare joined Strix on 1 February 2024 and was appointed to the Board on 2 April 2024. Clare is an experienced Chief Financial Officer with an extensive skills base gained over 25 years working in and advising international businesses. For seven years she held the role of Group CFO at Trifast plc, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of industrial fastenings. Over that time, Clare was instrumental in developing the Group’s financial strategy and capabilities. As well as helping to steer the business through an important period of investment driven growth.
Prior to that, she was at KPMG for 16 years. Starting in the audit practice, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant, before later moving on to work with the leadership team on a number of key strategic projects.

Chief Operating Officer

Frank joined Strix in 2012. He directs and leads the global operations team which spans Strix’s Guangzhou and Ramsey facilities, and oversees the company’s overall manufacturing, supply chain and technology footprint. Frank has over 20 years of experience at various multinationals including 15 years with Nortel and 5 years with Jabil Circuits. Frank holds a Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Changchun Post and Telecommunications Institute and an MBA from Southern Cross University in Australia. Frank also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Group Engineering & Western Operations Director

Nick joined Strix in 1992 and directs the Global Water Filtration Engineering team, which includes the product development centre at LAICA in Vicenza, Italy and at Guangzhou, China. Nick is also responsible for the manufacturing facility at Ramsey in Isle of Man. Nick holds a BEng (Hons) Manufacturing Systems and Management from Brunel University and a MSc from Manchester University. Nick is also a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Western Supply Chain & Controls Commercial Operations Director

David joined Strix in 1991 and directs the Commercial Operations department, optimising commercial activities through IPR and product safety, market intelligence and pricing management. David’s experience includes IT project management, factory management, and commercial management within the Finance Department. David holds a MEng (Hons) Manufacturing Engineering and Management from Loughborough University and a MSc from Manchester University.

Director of Group Finance

Neil joined Strix in July 2021 and directs the Finance teams across all Group locations. He is a qualified Management Accountant (CIMA) and has more than 20 years’ experience in international multi-site Finance Director roles, Neil has predominantly worked in the Manufacturing sector including Aerospace, Automotive & Medical Device sectors, this involved Neil working overseas including spells in the USA, Mexico & Slovakia, Neil began his career with BICC Cables, before moving on to work in senior finance roles at the Dunlop Beaufort Group, Senior Plc and Ansuka Group Ltd as well as working in PE backed business development environments. Neil has extensive experience of strategic business growth and specialises in sustainable change management and team development.

Group HR Director

Emma joined Strix in 2020 and is responsible for developing and executing the People Strategy across the Group. She has accumulated a wealth of HR management leadership experience over the years, both as an in-house expert and an external consultant. Emma has worked in a number of different sectors including FMCG (ASDA), Optics (Specsavers), Engineering consulting (Group Artelia), HVAC |(Ingersoll Rand), and latterly, Dynniq. Emma has a particular interest in learning and development, and is a qualified Executive Coach, as well as practitioner in a number of psychometric testing tools. She also has a Degree in English Literature gained from Swansea University, and is a Fellow of the CIPD.

SCG Engineering & Divisional Operations Director

Matt originally joined Strix in 2002 and is predominately based in our Guangzhou location. He leads the global Manufacturing Engineering teams researching and implementing innovative methods of manufacture, including the realisation of our comprehensive Automation strategy and New Product Introduction. Matt also has global responsibility for New Appliance delivery, the Company’s ISO Quality Management Systems and for providing technical guidance and solutions to the Customer facing Quality & Application Engineering teams. He has extensive Manufacturing experience having previously consulted for a number of Food & Pharmaceutical Companies.

Consumer Goods BU Finance Director

Nicolò joined Strix in March 2021 and he brings with him a lot of experience in the finance field, having worked for listed multinational groups such as ITW and Dormakaba, in the UK and European markets, holding leading roles responsible for local and international teams. Nicolò has a BSc and an MBA in Economics and Management.
Prior to be the Consumer Goods Finance Director Nicolò has been Finance Director of the Laica Group, leading successfully the transition from a family company to a member of the Strix group . In his current role Nicolò is a key business partner to the CG Managing Director supporting the execution of  the strategy and delivering the financial targets. He ensures appropriate controls are in place over financial assets, information and business processes, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation. He develops and implements processes to optimise integration of financial reporting within Consumer Goods Unit, including the identification of new common reporting systems.

CCO Strix Controls and Billi

Rachel Pallett has 30 years of international experience in the business of engineering.  She has held senior executive positions at Spirax Sarco Engineering plc, where she was Director of Business Development for Steam Specialties - responsible for the design, development and commercialisation of steam systems, controls and thermal energy management solutions.  This followed her service as Regional Director (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group, responsible for sales, service, distribution, and local assembly operations across 23 countries, driving growth organically and through acquisition.   Prior to Spirax, she held several leadership and technical positions at Renishaw plc, the precision metrology and healthcare technology group.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College, London and is known for her inclusive leadership style and passion for ESG initiatives.

Managing Director of Strix Consumer Goods and Laica

Riccardo joined Strix in 2021. He directs and leads the Consumer Goods Division of Strix, which includes the manufacturing company Laica S.p.A. in Italy and the relative commercial and procurement subsidiaries in Taiwan and Spain. Riccardo has over 20 years of experience at various international corporations, including 8 years with the Salvagnini Group – 5 of which in the U.S., 11 years with the Ceccato Group and 3 years within the Dover Corporation. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering and a masters in Economics and Organization from the University of Udine in Italy.
